Privacy
What leaves your computer.
The short version
- Your macros, images and settings stay on your computer. We never receive them.
- Our servers hold your account, which plan it is on, and a record that your installation is alive.
- That record includes your IP address, because every request to a server carries one.
- There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking on this website or in the app.
- We do not sell any of it.
Who is responsible
Polter Click is a personal project of Pavlo Hurin, a private individual in Ukraine — not a company. He decides what is stored and answers for it.
Questions about your data — what we hold, correcting it, deleting it — go to privacy@polter-click.com. Everything else is support@polter-click.com.
What stays on your computer
Macros, stages, flows, objects, areas, colours, recorded sounds, screenshots and settings live in one local database file in your Windows user profile. The app's log file sits beside it. Nothing in either is uploaded.
Screen captures are read in memory to answer a condition — is that icon there, is that bar full — and discarded. The screenshots you take yourself are saved to that same local database, for your own conditions to match against.
Your account
Signing in goes through our own sign-in server at auth.polter-click.com, which stores your email address, your username, your password as a hash we cannot read, whether the email has been confirmed, and the times you signed in. The sign-in pages are that server's own; your password is never typed into the app or into this website.
The app keeps the resulting session on your machine, in the same local database, so you do not have to sign in every time it starts.
Your installation
Once you are signed in, the app asks our server for an installation id — a random number, issued once and kept for as long as that installation lives — and then reports in on a timer, about every thirty minutes. We store:
- the installation id, when it was issued, and the IP address it was issued from;
- the version of the app it last reported;
- one row per report: the time and the IP address it came from.
It carries nothing about what you automate — no macro names, no window titles, no screenshots. Three things depend on it: counting how many installations are actually in use, telling the app which plan your account is on, and telling it the lowest version still allowed to run. The app reports only while it is signed in and running, and the server decides how often.
Your plan
One row on our server says which plan your account is on — beta for everyone while the open beta runs. The app asks for it on the same timer, which is how a change reaches it without an update.
Update checks
The app asks update.polter-click.com whether a newer version has been published, and downloads the installer from there. Those requests carry your IP address like any other web request. The feed is served through Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived delivery logs.
This website
No analytics, no tracking cookies, no advertising, no third-party scripts. Cloudflare serves the pages and keeps short-lived delivery logs.
The landing page embeds three videos from youtube-nocookie.com. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play; from that point YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply to what it loads.
The account page keeps your sign-in tokens in the browser tab's own storage. Closing the tab forgets them, and they never leave your browser except to our sign-in server.
Who else sees it
Cloudflare, which delivers this site and the update feed, and the company hosting the servers our sign-in and account services run on. They see what any host sees — requests passing through. Nobody else receives your data, and none of it is sold or handed on for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your account, and the row saying which plan it is on, last as long as the account does. The reports from your installation are not deleted on a schedule today — they are what the usage counts are built from. Ask us to delete them and we will.
What you can ask for
Write to privacy@polter-click.com to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to have your installation records deleted, or to delete the account altogether. It is read by the same person who runs the project. You can change your password yourself on the account page.
Uninstalling the app leaves its local database in your user profile untouched; delete that folder if you want the macros gone too.
Changes
The date at the top says when this page last changed. If something material changes — a new thing stored, a new recipient — we will say so here rather than quietly editing a sentence.
