Terms
The terms you use it under.
The short version
- Polter Click is in open beta and free of charge while the beta runs.
- It needs an account, and it does nothing while signed out.
- After the beta there may be free and paid plans, and what each one includes may differ from what the beta allowed. Nothing here promises a permanently free version.
- Whether you are allowed to automate a particular program or game is between you and that program's rules. That decision is yours, and so is what follows from it.
- It comes with no guarantees, and it can be unavailable or stop working.
The beta
Everything on offer today is a beta: features arrive, change and disappear, versions follow each other quickly, and a build can require an update before it runs again. We may change what the app does, pause the beta, or end it.
The beta is free of charge. When it ends, Polter Click may offer free and paid plans; what each includes is not decided yet, and it may be less than the beta allowed. If you have a beta account, we will write to the email address on it before anything about its price or limits changes.
Your account
The app requires an account and stops at its sign-in screen without one. One account belongs to one person; keep its password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done through it.
The app checks in with our servers while it runs. If it cannot reach them for a week it stops working until it can again — that is by design, not a fault. It also stops if the installed version falls below the lowest one we still allow, and installs the update instead.
Give us an email address that reaches you. It is how we tell you about a change to these terms, to your plan, or to the price.
Where you may use it
Polter Click presses the keys and moves the mouse you told it to. It reads the screen to decide when, and it knows nothing about the program in front of it: it does not read anyone's memory, it does not touch anyone's files, and it plays nothing for you.
That does not make it allowed everywhere. Plenty of programs and online games forbid automated input of any kind, and some ship anti-cheat that looks for it. Reading those rules is your job, and everything that follows from ignoring them — a suspended game account, lost progress, a ban — is yours as well. Where automation is not allowed, do not use it.
What you may not do
- Break the law with it, or use it against systems you have no right to touch.
- Use it to defraud, spam, harass or overwhelm anybody.
- Resell it, repackage the installer, or pass it off as your own.
- Work around the account requirement, the version requirement, or the limits of your plan.
Your macros are yours
What you build stays on your computer and belongs to you. We claim nothing in it and we never receive it — see the privacy policy for what does reach our servers. The app itself, its name and its design stay ours.
No guarantees
Polter Click is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. It can misfire: it types into whatever window has focus, a condition can match the wrong thing, and a timing that worked yesterday can be too fast today. Try a macro while you are watching it before you leave it alone, and do not point it at anything you cannot afford to have clicked.
The servers it depends on can be down, and a beta build can carry bugs we have not found.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or abuses the service. A suspended account cannot run anything, and the app says so.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for what a macro did, for accounts or progress lost in a program you automated, for data you lose, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms while the beta runs. The date at the top says when they last changed, and a change that affects what you may do, what it costs, or what we store is announced by email to the address on your account. Using the app after that means accepting the new terms.
Ending it
Stop whenever you like: sign out, uninstall, and that is the end of it. Write to support@polter-click.com to have the account deleted as well.
Who you are dealing with, and under which law
Polter Click is a personal project of Pavlo Hurin, a private individual in Ukraine — not a company. These terms are governed by Ukrainian law, and disputes belong to the courts of Ukraine, as far as that choice is allowed.
If you use Polter Click as a consumer somewhere else, that choice does not take away the protections your own country gives you; those still apply.
